Get In The Game! is our annual volunteer challenge, a friendly competition that invites fans, neighbors, and community members to roll up their sleeves for the planet — from park cleanups and composting to gardening and community care.

Participants log their volunteer hours throughout the season to earn exclusive prizes and compete for a chance to celebrate their hard work at a special Giants game event hosted by Hunter.  Whether you’re new to volunteering or already a community all-star, Get In The Game is your chance to make an impact, have fun, and connect with others who care about a healthier Bay Area.

When you join the challenge, you’re not just volunteering — you’re joining the Green Glove Crew, a growing team of local community members dedicated to protecting our planet, one glove at a time. With green gloves on and hearts full of purpose, this crew is tackling litter, planting native greenery, and inspiring others to join the movement. How to Play: 

  • Pitch In: Volunteer with Healthy Planet Project and other local environmental organizations. Whether you’re flying solo or bringing the whole team, there’s a spot for everyone in the lineup.

  • Pick Up: Get into the game! Clean up litter, plant trees and pollinator-friendly plants, or participate in your favorite green activity in the Bay Area.

  • Play Ball: Log your volunteer hours and hit milestones to score prizes and unlock exclusive Green Glove Crew giveaways and experiences! Every hour counts toward a win for the planet.

STEP UP TO THE PLATE!

  • SINGLE: Log your first volunteer hour and receive an exclusive Green Glove Crew t-shirt.

  • DOUBLE:  Log 4 hours and receive an exclusive Healthy Planet Project jersey patch.

  • TRIPLE: Log 8 hours and receive a custom, stainless-steel insulated coffee mug. 

Want to hang with Hunter at a Giants game?! 

Score in the top 8 volunteers with the most hours logged, and you and a friend will be invited to a special Giants game event to hang out with Hunter! Hours must be logged by September 15, 2026 to qualify.
